Wednesday, May 4: The Singularity

on Thu, 03/31/2016 - 18:15

The tremendous discoveries dealing with space and time, observations of entanglement and quantum spookiness over the last one hundred years have brought us to an exciting time in perception evolution and closer to the brink of a great paradigm shift in consciousness. These revelations question our fundamental understanding of physics and challenge our perceived laws of nature. String theory, Multiple and Parallel Universes, Gravitational Waves; who knows what could be uncovered next or where this new knowledge might take us. We have entered a new era of understanding that has enabled us to survey the universe as we never have before while simultaneously begging questions we never knew we could ask.

Are we forever trapped in viewing life through the lenses of our three dimensional eyes? Can we peer into the dimensions above? Can our imaginations coupled with the unknown tell us the truth of who and why we are what we are?

In attempting to further explore these ideas, CHAPPO Presents: "The Singularity" an interdimensional animated adventure viewed through the eyes of an astronaut named Rene and his journey to the center of a black hole in order to study its effects on his perception of time and sense of self. Additionally, the evening will feature supporting contextual works by friends and fellow artists Don D'Aries, Chris Kinsler, Ashley Bohan, Samantha Sethi and Everett DiNapoli.

Audience/performers, spectators/spectacles, observers/objects, creators/destroyers; all are welcome.
