This obsessive-compulsive photo series of my everyday life started as an Instagram project in 2012, when I moved to New York from Croatia. The images are always taken in the same manner—my forehead and eyes in the foreground, and the main subject in the background. The expression of the eyes varies in keeping with the scene behind me. 

I did not know where this project would take me. It all started as an interest in observing the process of transformation. I would take photos all the time, in all places and situations. 

In 2014, I applied for political asylum in the United States.
