Sunday, April 10: Diana Teeter 365 day project

on Mon, 03/07/2016 - 17:45

In April of last year Diana Teeter presented herself with a challenge: paint one 4" x 4" painting every day for 365 days, no excuses allowed. Inspired by artists - such as Lorraine Loots' Paintings for Ants - progress their art skills rapidly by doing this, She wanted to see what would happen if she spent just one hour or so a day to polish her craft. Now almost 365 days later she has painted through good days and bad, illness and joy. Diana painted foods that she loves, cute animals, and historic happenings throughout the year. Not only have her skills as an artist improved greatly, but she also saw a change in how she feels - finding the courage to follow her  dream to be an artist full time.

On April 10th, from 7pm-9pm Join to celebrate the culmination of Diana's project with a one night viewing and sale of the work. All of the work from the 365 day project will be available for $50 a painting. The viewing is free and open to the public.

Diana Teeter is an artist living and working in Queens, New York; she received her  MFA from Pratt Institute and my BFA from The College For Creative Studies in Detroit; her work has been shown in numerous group shows in New York, the greater US, and abroad; and She's been the featured artist at P.S. 122, The Paula Barr Gallery Chelsea, and Hygienic Gallery of New London.
